            Who Is Zelensky And How Did He Come To Power?

Who would've thought this man, 41 year old Volodymyr Zelensky, a former comedian turned actor, would become the president of Ukraine.  In 2019 Volodymyr Zelensky won a landslide Victory and became president of Ukraine. Lets not forget that this man had no experience in  politics yet he won the people over. He promised to end the war with Russia and root out corruption in Ukraine. Zelensky vowed to get rid of the oligarchs in the country who have normalized corruption in Ukraine. When running for president he won about 73% of votes  against  former president Petro Poroshenko. This is how desperate for change the Ukraine people were.

Before becoming president he entered the world of entertainment as an actor and comedian. He rose to fame starring on a popular Ukrainian television show that he created called “servant of the people” for about three seasons. Zelensky played as a high school History teacher  who strongly disliked the corrupt politicians in the country and was recorded by a student ranting about the corruption and unfairness. The video ended up going viral and he became president in a nutshell. How Ironic.

Zelensky also competed on Ukraine's version of Dancing with the Stars in 2006. Judges thought he was a very good dancer so much so that he won, so basically he has more experience in the world of entertainment than in politics based on his history.  

 

Led by corruption and poor leadership, Zelensky promised to end it all and won the people over. Now this man has a target on his back along with his country. Why?

How did this conflict with Putin begin? There is deep history with Ukraine and Russia, but why now? Why are we at the brink of world war III? In the midst of a pandemic, the timing is impeccable. You might be surprised or not surprised at all to know that Zelensky had some help from some very powerful people in Ukraine to come into power.

These powerful people, with a lot of money, are Putin's true enemies and true targets. Poor Zelensky hasn't gotten a clue as to what he is in the middle of, somewhat of a puppet on strings that has gotten involved in something so deep that I'm not sure if he can handle it, just my opinion. 

The west has been trying to infiltrate Russia for a long time, and they know that a soft spot for Russia is Ukraine. Ukraine has become a hub spot for corruption and rich people of Ukraine and for the West to set up illegit business deals and offshore banking to hide their money. Putin warned Zelensky to not become a pawn to the West. Zelensky did not heed the warning and allowed his rich friends to continue as usual. Now the whole country of Ukraine is paying for the mistakes of their leader. We will dissect who these rich powerful allies of Zelensky are and why Putin is bent on raising hell on Ukraine in my next post, stay tuned.
